Environmentally-friendly pump technology was the star of the show as Selwood specialists showcased new models at two leading European exhibitions. Significant interest has been seen in two new solids handling pumps – the S150 Electric and the S160Eco – at Pump Centre Conference and the world-leading trade fair IFAT. Both pumps have been designed and manufactured by Selwood at its UK manufacturing facility in response to increasing market demand for environmentally-friendly pumps with minimal to zero emissions.

Selwood is supporting a pioneering community initiative that encourages learning and personal development in young people. The pump and plant provider is backing St Michael's Primary School, Widnes, in taking part in the Halton Mayor’s Award, a bespoke programme of exciting challenges and activities for 10 to 13 year olds. The scheme resembles a junior Duke of Edinburgh award and sees children from across the Halton borough in Cheshire take part in a variety of activities outside of school hours, such as orienteering, litter picks and learning outdoor survival skills.

The Selwood Pump Solutions team will be heading to the event in Munich, Germany, between May 14 and 18. IFAT is the leading trade show for environmental technologies and an innovation platform for companies across the water, sewage, waste and raw materials management industry.

Leading global pump solutions provider Selwood has appointed Paul Marlow in the new role of Sales and International Rental Development Director as it continues to strengthen its European and international sales operation. Paul, who has a wealth of experience in the international pump sales market, will lead on nurturing and growing Selwood’s partnerships with trusted distributors around the world. Paul returned to Selwood in 2017, having previously worked at senior level in the company’s sales and rental operations for six years.
