Selwood director Richard Brown has flown more than 5,000 miles on a mission to help bring clean water to one of the poorest parts of the world.
Richard, Managing Director of Selwood’s UK Pump Rental division, will dig canals, carry water and sand and help build clean water facilities during a visit to the Faratshiho district of Madagascar.

Selwood’s dedicated electrical pump repair centre, strategically placed in Liverpool, has gained the SGS Baseefa accreditation to carry out explosion-proof pump repairs.
The IECEx Certificate, issued by Baseefa, confirms that Selwood’s service facility has been independently verified to have the appropriate equipment, competent staff and procedures for repairs on equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Selwood’s pump sales and rental teams have just returned from a successful exhibition at Hillhead Quarry in Derbyshire.
Hillhead is the biggest exhibition of its kind in the world, featuring a wide range of equipment in a live quarry environment. Selwood has been celebrating 70 years since the company was founded with special stands at a range of exhibitions this year.

A group that offers football coaching to youngsters of all abilities has been given a boost thanks to Selwood’s pump rental teams.
Little Kicks, based in Middlesbrough, is a not-for-profit group which uses professional sports coaching to give youngsters to the opportunity to fulfil their potential regardless of their ability, economic status, race, gender, sexuality or disability.
As part of Selwood’s 70th anniversary celebrations, the pump rental teams at Selwood’s Middlesbrough branch were pleased to make a donation to support the group.
