Selwood exhibited at Electra Mining Africa last week, sharing a stand with their long-standing South African distributor, Ian Dickie & Co.

This major mining exhibition attracted 800 exhibitors and offered us an opportunity to work together with our local distributor in South Africa and showcase new products in the region to thousands of visitors.

It was our first time exhibiting with Ian Dickie & Co, who have been selling Selwood pumps for 50 years.

The Ian Dickie group is internationally recognised as one of South Africa’s most respected distributors of construction equipment – and it’s a relationship we’re extremely proud of. Based in Cape Town, the company has branch offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth as well as a network of agents and distributors throughout Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia.

The joint team showcased the newest addition to our world-leading family of solids handling pumps – the brand new S150M.

The S150M is a versatile medium head pump, suitable for multiple uses including sewage and sewer bypass and over pumping, waste and wastewater applications, long distance water transfer and dewatering for sites and quarries.

Also on show was the H150, from Selwood’s high head pump range, offering maximum performance and efficiency for high head, high pressure dewatering applications.

Both the S150M and H150 have been specially packaged by Ian Dickie & Co for local markets in South Africa – a new initiative to target new segments in the country.

Selwood remains one of the few British pump companies to design and manufacture, rent and sell its own range of surface diesel and hydraulic pumps, and is renowned as a world leader in pump manufacture and sales, working together with our partners around the globe.
