Selwood pumps are in use worldwide for oil industry applications

The International Oil Spill Conference at Long Beach, California, is a highlight of the oil industry calendar, regularly attracting more than 2,000 delegates from 50 countries.

Selwood’s senior specialists are proud to be attending this global event from May 15 to 18, giving us the ideal opportunity to demonstrate Selwood’s expertise in oil industry and environmental clean-up applications.

Matt Dobson, International Business Development Director, will be joined by International Sales Managers Andrew Moore and Tim Attwell at the Selwood stand, which can be found at 516.

They will be exhibiting a range of Selwood products which are in use worldwide in oil applications, including:

  • The Selwood PD75, one of our leading range of positive displacement pumps. The model exhibited is built with a Hatz 1B20 Tier IV Final diesel engine with electric start. One of many popular configurations for oil-spill response, recovery and clean-up operations worldwide.
  • Our Seldredge Selwood-engineered hydraulic pump with agitators, designed for tackling heavy sludges that other pumps cannot move. Seldredge is ideally suited to lagoon clearance and agricultural and environmental pollution recovery applications.
  • The Selwood S150 – our market-leading versatile solids handling pump, the S150 can be supplied in a huge range of configurations including diesel drive, electric motor, Super Silent and hydraulic, a cost-effective and efficient solution where hydraulic power is available.

Selwood has a long history and proven track record in working in the oil industry and in environmental clean-up operations.

Our pumps are all manufactured by Selwood in the UK and, because of Selwood’s position as the UK’s number one pump rental provider, they are designed with the rigours of rental in mind, contributing to their renowned longevity and ease of maintenance in even the most demanding of applications.

Selwood’s unique Selprime technology avoids the problems with oil vapour emissions and oil emulsification that are associated with other priming systems.

Accessories including auto stop/start control panels and telemetry technology for remote monitoring and alerts are available, ensuring that packages can be assembled to each customer’s specific requirements.
