Selwood is helping to bring Easter joy to hundreds of young carers and vulnerable children after donating 200 chocolate eggs to charity.

The leading pump and plant company, based in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, donated the Easter eggs to Honeypot Children’s Charity and the colourful gifts were personally delivered by Richard Brown, Managing Director – Pumping Solutions at Selwood, and Depesh Dayal, Marketing Manager.

The Easter eggs will be given out to young people who benefit from the charity’s respite care and outreach support.  Honeypot helps carers and vulnerable children between the ages of five and 12, offering them a break from the stresses of home at one of its two respite houses, Honeypot House, in the New Forest, and Honeypot Pen y Bryn, in mid-Wales.

Selwood has a strong relationship with Honeypot after staff have raised almost £2,000 for the charity and donated gifts over past two years through company-wide raffles.

Richard Brown, Managing Director – Pumping Solutions for Selwood, said: “The team at Honeypot Children’s Charity do an amazing job at supporting children who might otherwise have nowhere to turn to. It was our privilege to donate these Easter eggs to this very worthwhile cause.”

Kate Browning, Regional Fundraising Manager for Honeypot Children’s Charity, said: “Honeypot are very grateful to all of our wonderful supporters for donating Easter eggs for our Honeypot children.

“Without the generosity of people such as Selwood, who donated 200 of the 1,000 Easter eggs needed, we simply wouldn't have been able to provide our young carers and vulnerable children with the wonderful gift of an Easter egg this weekend.”
