An overpumping solution that minimised environmental risk and maximised efficiency was provided by leading pump provider Selwood during a major project at Eastchurch, Kent.
Following months of early engagement between Selwood and its client partners, the pump solutions specialist was selected to supply and install a large-scale overpump of a wastewater treatment works across Swale Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)-protected land. The challenge came as major lining works were being carried out on the existing outfall main.

Selwood, which has its head office in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, is supporting the youth football club based at nearby Eastleigh. The sponsorship will cover new home and away kits for the under-13s team, as well as training equipment required.
Fleming Athletic Football Club, in Passfield Avenue, is one of the county’s leading organisations for youth football and has six teams and a mini soccer school for pre-school children.
Leading pump and plant provider Selwood supported a charity football tournament in Bristol that saw more than £2,000 raised for good causes.
A team from Selwood’s Bristol branch took part in the Waste Water Cup 2018, which saw companies involved in the water industry from across the South West enter five-a-side teams for a knock-out football tournament. Held at Goals, in Broomhill Road, Bristol, the day raised a total of £2,180, which will be split equally between The National Autistic Society and Cancer Research UK.
