From excavators to dumpers, telehandlers and rollers, our plant hire operation continues to grow, with a focus on versatility and relability. So far we’ve invested £13.5million into our fleet over the past three years and will spend a further £4.2million in 2020. We’re proud to have an extensive fleet available for hire across our network of branches and a team with unrivalled expertise. Our staff will provide a plant hire solution suited to your requirement and we always go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service.
At Selwood we are committed to minimising the impact that our operations have on the environment around us – and one way we can contribute to sustainability is through the increased use of lower-emission vehicles.
Like most organisations in the industries we work in, we recognise that change is an ongoing process and that it will take time to get to where we want to be. However, in recent years we have made great strides to a more sustainable fleet.
Selwood’s pumping solutions team stepped in to minimise disruption at a Southern Water treatment works when a failed pump needed replacement.
Specialists from Selwood’s pump rental team were called out to an outfall station at Shoreham-by-Sea, where a canister pump had developed a fault.
A replacement unit was not immediately available, and the team were also faced with the challenge of limited access to the wet well – so a fast and practical alternative was required.
Thousands of commuters use the M27 between Portsmouth and Southampton each day, and most will have experienced the congestion the route regularly suffers during peak hours.
Selwood’s pump rental and plant hire teams are proud to be involved in a major Highways England project that aims to ease this problem by upgrading the route to become a smart motorway.
Young people who use a boxing club in Aberdeen have new kit thanks to sponsorship from pump rental specialist Selwood.
New tracksuits, t-shirts and re-usable water bottles have been supplied to Byron Boxing Club, based at the Northfield Community Centre, Byron Square, following a £1,000 donation from Selwood’s Aberdeen branch.
The sponsorship was secured by Alex Cain, Selwood’s regional account manager for pump rental, who is one of the co-founders of the club.
