At Selwood we love a challenge – but it doesn’t usually involve hurtling down a watery 120ft slide or struggling up a climbing frame as the wet stuff hammers down from above! These were two of the punishing obstacles 12,000 participants at the Total Warrior Great Northern Mud Run had to take on during a mud-filled, fun-packed event at Bramham Park, Leeds. Selwood’s pump rental teams were proud to be a key part of the day by supplying pumping equipment to help power the two watery obstacles.

Selwood, the UK’s leading pump rental solutions provider, has increased its submersible pump capability with an investment in flotation devices. The significant investment adds a modular flotation system which increases Selwood’s capability to position submersibles and pipework across bodies of water such as lakes and lagoons. The solution makes pumps visible and easy to identify on the water, is quick to assemble and disassemble, and can be set up flexibly to enable use with a range of pipeline lengths and pump weights from 160kg to 600kg.

At Selwood, we love a challenge – and we’ve set ourselves an ambitious one to mark our 75th anniversary this year. Our exceptional people in pump solutions and plant hire branches around the UK will be pulling together with the aim of raising £75,000 for charity through a range of events and activities. When Selwood was founded in 1946, Britain was rebuilding itself in the aftermath of the Second World War. Now, in 2021, the country is facing the challenge of recovering from the social and economic impacts of the pandemic.
