Selwood plant specialists have completed the sale of two versatile telehandlers to a customer who sought advice on solutions for operating in spaces where cranes are restricted.

Tom Mayhew asked for advice from Selwood sales manager John Knight as he sought to invest in equipment for his Hampshire-based business.

After looking in detail at Mr Mayhew’s requirements, John, based at Selwood’s headquarters at Chandlers Ford, recommended two Merlo Roto 40.30 telehandlers (like the one pictured) which are ideally suited for working in areas where space is limited.

The Rotos offer leading safety systems and excellent visibility from a tilting cab, and are capable of a maximum lift capacity of four tonnes, lift height of almost 30m and a maximum road speed of 40kph.

John Knight said: “Selwood has enjoyed a long business relationship with Tom Mayhew which goes back to the 1990s. We pride ourselves on the best in customer service and solutions, so when Tom came to us with this particular requirement, we were only too pleased to advise him on the best plant for the job in hand.

“I know the Merlo Roto machines have already been put to use to good effect, and I am delighted that we have been able to play our part in the continued success of Tom’s business.”
