Specialists from Selwood will be using this year’s Showman’s Show to exhibit its innovative new packaged pumping stations designed for festivals and outdoor events of all sizes.
Selwood’s pump experts have taken all the elements required for efficient, environmentally-friendly waste handling and placed them inside a new “plug and play” solution.
The stations include dual electronic submersible pumps, electronic start systems, alarms, telemetry equipment and safety features inside a box that measures around one cubic metre.
The boxes simply need to be plugged into power and connected to a waste outlet to pump away waste water from portable toilets and shower blocks at camping sites, festivals and outdoor events.
The units can be discreetly housed behind portable toilet blocks and numbers can be scaled up and down to service any size of event.
The packaged pumping stations, designed and manufactured in-house by Selwood, have a Royal connection, having been successfully put into use at The Queen’s birthday party and the Royal Windsor Horse Show earlier this year.
They were also in use at The Game Fair in Hertfordshire in July, attended by thousands of countryside pursuits enthusiasts.

The new packages come as Selwood continues to make a multi-million pound investment in pump rental as it consolidates its position as a specialist in water and waste water applications.
The company has injected more than £8m into its pump rental business unit this year, with further investment planned for 2017 as it continues to expand its market-leading rental offering.
The programme will see significant sums ploughed into Selwood’s equipment and fleet and the opening of two new pump rental branches serving the South West and Scotland. Selwood will also be investing in its teams by launching a recruitment drive to staff the new locations.
The developments build on Selwood’s status as one of the few British companies to design, manufacture, rent and sell its own range of surface diesel and hydraulic pumps, coupled with a reputation for outstanding product quality and customer service.
The company’s pump fleet encompasses more than 4,000 diesel and electric units spanning from 2” to 20”, including surface pumps, explosion-proof, electric and hydraulic submersible pumps.
Operating from rental branches up and down the UK, Selwood can deliver innovative pumping solutions anywhere in the UK and overseas at short notice.
