Staff at No Limits with the donations from Selwood

Winter warmers including gloves, woolly hats, socks and snoods are on their way to vulnerable people in Southampton thanks to pump specialist Selwood.

Selwood, based at Chandler’s Ford, donated boxes crammed with brand new winter clothes to Southampton charity No Limits, which passes them on to young homeless people.

Selwood staff Laura Fletcher delivered the donations to the No Limits advice centre in High Street, Southampton, and took the time to find out more about the charity, which offers free and confidential support to hundreds of vulnerable children and young people across Hampshire.

Laura, who works as an Executive PA at Selwood, said: “There are so many simple things many of us take for granted that are actually very difficult to access for homeless people. It was a real privilege to visit the centre and learn more about the fantastic work the charity does.

“As a Hampshire business that has been in the region for more than 70 years, we care about the community and are pleased to be able to make a difference. We very much hope this is the start of an on-going relationship and we are already planning some fundraising activities for 2019.”

Natalie Hutchins, Corporate Fundraiser at No Limits, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Selwood. These donations are going to make such a difference as we head into the cold winter months.”
