Selwood has been awarded certification in recognition of its expertise and compliance in the chemicals industry.

The company has achieved verified supplier certification for the Chemicals and Allied Industries Community, awarded by risk management services supplier Achilles.

The certification applies to Selwood’s range of pumps, accessories, component and installation services across its entire network of UK branches, to the pumps in manufactures and to its plant hire offering.

The accreditation confirms that Selwood’s products and services meet stringent standards in a range of criteria including supply chain, health and safety and quality management.

“Achilles certification is highly respected within the chemicals and allied industries, and the standards required to achieve it reflect those we maintain at Selwood. I am delighted to add this certification to the many accreditations proudly held by our specialist teams around the UK.”

The Chemicals & Allied Industries Community enables buying organisations in the sector to monitor and maintain due diligence requirements throughout their supply chain. 

To achieve verification, suppliers must submit detailed information relating to compliance and quality. Registration in the community provides suppliers with a streamlined mechanism for submitting information to buyers in procurement processes.

The latest award is in addition to the Achilles UVDB and RISQS accreditations which Selwood already holds at all branch locations.
