Thousands of commuters use the M27 between Portsmouth and Southampton each day, and most will have experienced the congestion the route regularly suffers during peak hours.
Selwood’s pump rental teams are proud to be involved in a major Highways England project that aims to ease this problem by upgrading the route to become a smart motorway.
The works, which many commuters will be aware of because of temporary 50mph speed limits currently along the route, involve turning the hard shoulder into a running lane to increase the capacity of the motorway to four lanes.

Young people who use a boxing club in Aberdeen have new kit thanks to sponsorship from pump rental specialist Selwood.
New tracksuits, t-shirts and re-usable water bottles have been supplied to Byron Boxing Club, based at the Northfield Community Centre, Byron Square, following a £1,000 donation from Selwood’s Aberdeen branch.
The sponsorship was secured by Alex Cain, Selwood’s regional account manager for pump rental, who is one of the co-founders of the club.

Water specialists from around the globe will gather in Amsterdam this November at Aquatech, the world’s leading trade exhibition for the process, drinking and waste water industry.
The Selwood team will be joined by our Dutch partner, Van der Ende Groep, throughout the show from November 5th to 8th at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.

Selwood has unveiled SelWatch – a remote cloud-based telematics tool that offers real-time performance monitoring across its market-leading pump range.
SelWatch provides users with round-the-clock updates including GPS pump location, fuel levels and fuel consumption, engine efficiencies, site water levels and servicing status.
Using the portal, customers can securely log in from anywhere in the world to see live pump data and receive system alerts that flag up changes and highlight potential issues.
Use of SelWatch can significantly reduce downtime, save money and help efficiently schedule events such as refuelling and maintenance.
