Providing great customer service is what gets Julianne Connell out of bed in the morning. She travels all over the eastern side of Scotland seeking new business and nurturing customer relationships.
Julianne joined Selwood in July 2015 as a Pump Rental and Solutions Sales Representative. Her job involves visiting potential customers, sites and water treatment works, looking for customers who would be interested in industrial pump rental. She also manages our existing customer base, growing and maintaining relationships.
Julianne’s previous experience totals 23 years in the tool and plant hire industry. She’s always worked in construction.

At a recent Managers’ Conference it was refreshing to see so many females working for Selwood, in what is predominantly a male dominated industry. There’s at least one female in every office, which is different to where I’ve worked before in construction.
Being out on the road a lot, I meet a lot of people in the different stages of construction from designers, planners, engineers, site manager to surveyors. The industry tends to have a bit of a ‘rough and ready’ reputation, but it’s much more professional nowadays and there are more and more opportunities for women.”
