Selwood provided a dumper truck for a training session for motorway workers

Selwood underlined its commitment to a safer working environment by supporting a training session for motorway workers.

When Balfour Beatty and Selwood long standing customer  MJ Church civil engineering needed a dumper truck for their ‘Be safe while working on the motorway’ demonstration session for M3 contractors, we were delighted to help out.

The Selwood dumper was part of the regular ‘Morning Prayers’ briefing session for contractors, focussing on front-tipping dumpers and Vehicle Collision Avoidance Systems (VCAS).

Simon Rose, sales and operations hire director at Selwood, said: “We have been supplying M J Church on the M3 Smart Motorway project since January 2015 and we were happy to help supply this dumper free of charge for the training programme.

“The session focussed on the VCAS and how to use it, and also about how to check blind spots and sight lines.”

Selwood’s commitment to safety, quality and the environment has seen it become one of the few UK companies that holds recognised standards in all three areas. Read more about our accreditations
