Selwood’s pump sales and rental teams have just returned from a successful exhibition at Hillhead Quarry in Derbyshire.
Hillhead is the biggest exhibition of its kind in the world, featuring a wide range of equipment in a live quarry environment. Selwood has been celebrating 70 years since the company was founded with special stands at a range of exhibitions this year.
During the show, which was attended by a record 18,700 visitors from all over the UK (despite heavy rain), Selwood’s team took the opportunity to catch up with customers, suppliers, distributors and fellow industry professionals.
To mark their Platinum anniversary year, the stand featured a one-off platinum-wrapped D100 Super Silent drainer pump. The specially-designed model was snapped up by a new customer at the Hillhead show. And as well as the 70-year milestone, Selwood has been introducing the newest addition to their world-leading family of solids handling pumps – the brand new S150M.
The S150m is a versatile medium head pump, suitable for multiple uses including sewage and sewer bypass and over pumping, waste and wastewater applications, long distance water transfer and dewatering for sites and quarries. A brand new CAT Stage IV/Tier 4 Super Silent S150M was on display.
Selwood’s Seldredge unit also got a great reaction at the show, with many visitors drawn in to ask about it. This 150mm hydraulic screw submersible pump is built into a frame with agitators and jetting systems for dredging and lagoon clearance applications.
Also on show was the new H80 MK2 Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Super Silent – a redesigned and far more efficient version of the popular H80, used for high head dewatering and jetting applications. It has a new canopy design with improved construction, sound attenuation, serviceability and accessibility. What’s more, its diesel engine meets the latest emission regulations.
Selwood remains one of the few British pump companies to design and manufacture, rent and sell its own range of surface diesel and hydraulic pumps, and is renowned as a world leader in pump manufacture and sales.
